About Rabbi Jeffrey Glickman
A Rabbinate of Connection, Curiosity, and Joy
Rabbi Jeffrey Glickman is a rabbi, educator, civic leader, humanitarian, and lifelong student of Jewish life. For nearly four decades, he has dedicated himself to helping people discover the wisdom, beauty, and meaning within Judaism. Known for his energetic, joyful, and relational presence, Rabbi Jeff believes that Judaism is not simply something to inherit. It is something to uncover, explore, and live.
He often says:
“Being Jewish means living on a diamond mine. Under our feet are gems which make life meaningful, sorrow lessened, joys elevated, loneliness abated and gives direction. Many Jews don’t realize the treasures of their inheritance. My task is to help others see that there is a mine and how to get those diamonds.”
Whether teaching Torah, leading prayer, celebrating a life cycle moment, mentoring leaders, or sitting with someone in conversation, Rabbi Jeff approaches each encounter as an opportunity to reveal holiness and strengthen connection.
A Lifetime of Rabbinate
Throughout his rabbinate, Rabbi Jeff has been guided by a few simple ideas:
Listen before you love.
“Shema always comes before V’Ahavta because listening always comes before love. If you’re not listening, you’re not loving.”
Lead with joy.
Make members owners, not customers.
Invite. Listen. Ask.
His teaching, leadership, and community-building have always focused on helping people find their own connection to Jewish life.
